Saundra is a Specialist Children’s Liaison Nurse and Nurse Manager with the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, which she joined in 2003. She qualified as a Registered Children’s Nurse in Temple Street University Hospital in 1989 and subsequently completed her General Nurse training in St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1991. She was awarded a Bachelor of Nursing Studies from UCD in 2001.

After completing her training, Saundra worked for a short time in Temple Street Hospital and Naas General Hospital. Following 12 months working in Australia in 1992/1993 she returned to Temple Street Children’s Hospital where she worked as a Staff Nurse, Clinical Facilitator and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurology before joining the Jack & Jill team.

She is one of 12 liaison nurses, who manage and deliver Jack & Jill’s unique home nursing care and respite service for sick children, from birth to 4 years of age. Since 1997 the Jack & Jill service has supported over 2,300 children, it operates 365 days a year, has no waiting list and 2017 is its 20th Anniversary Year. Saundra supports families in Dublin and North Kildare.
