Mercy Hospital Foundation
The Mercy Hospital Foundation, through its Kids + Teens Appeal provides funding to critical areas of paediatric services at the Mercy University Hospital in Cork. The Foundation provides ongoing support towards the POONS (Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nurse Service), a mobile nursing service that administers treatment to children and young people undergoing cancer treatment, in the child’s own home. The service covers a large geographical area throughout the county of Cork as well as other surrounding counties.
The Foundation also supports the provision of counselling for children who are ill, their parents or siblings, as well as providing financial assistance to families with a child who has a long term, chronic or life threatening illness through its Patient Assistance Programme.< Back
